”
Candace graduated from U.C. Berkeley with highest
honors in Architecture. She has worked as a designer
and developer on many residential projects and as a
Planner for the Oakland, Berkeley and Emeryville Redevelopment
Agencies. In Berkeley, she did the planning for the
Savo Island Housing Cooperative and was responsible
for developing the first program of Section 8 set-asides
for mentally and physically handicapped people in Berkeley.
In Emeryville, she did inspections and design drawings
for a low-income housing rehabilitation program and
in Oakland, she developed design concepts implemented
in the Elmhurst Redevelopment Project.
Candace has had her real estate license since 1988
and specializes in residential sales in Kensington,
Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Oakland and Piedmont.
She has worked with her husband designing and building
homes and brings this experience to her clients. Her
knowledge of housing structure, geology and her analysis
of a homes’ potential for development is unique
in the industry.
Candace has helped many clients develop their homes
value prior to selling, suggesting improvements that
substantially increase value to Buyers and profit to
Sellers. Her experience has shown her that small investments
in a home can bring large returns. This can entail
finishing off unfinished areas, styling bland homes
into exciting ones or other types of changes that go
beyond the normal painting and staging pre-sale activities.
She has developed a specialized niche for clients who
are interested in such a service called Selling
by Design.
